A good wash means that after washing the skin with a detergent that needs to be rinsed,

such as foam, gel or pen, cleanse with a facial skin toner. Recently, products in the name of micellar water have come on the market that look very much like toner. But what is really the difference between a micellar and a toner? In this article we will tell you when to use micellar and when to use toner.

Types of skin toners

Toners are formulated in two types of greasy and dry skin. In toners of greasy skin, fat control compounds are commonly used. Therefore, toners of greasy skin are usually not usable for around the eye, unless written on the product that you can use for around the eye.

micellar water and Toners of dry skin usually contain compounds that do not dry the skin. Because they contain skin-softening compounds, they are usually applicable to around the eyes. Of course, it is advisable to be careful about product writing.

The use of skin cleanser toners

1-   Toner as a cleanser alone

Toners are cleaners that do not need to be rinsed with water. Therefore, it can be easily used with a pad in travel and outdoors before renewing the sunscreen. If the skin does not have makeup and no covering creams, toners can be used alone to cleanse the pollution of skin and remove any creams on the skin (if not colored).

  • micellar water and Toner as a complement to cleanse the skin

Toners can be used in multi-step washing. This use of toner is used when the face skin has makeup and covering creams. In this case, after washing the skin with a detergent that needs to be rinsed with water such as gel or foam or a pen, toner can be used as a complement to cleanse the face.

Toners are easy to penetrate through the pores of the skin due to their watery appearance and remove impurities and contaminants. If you use a covering cream with top cover, apply a little toner to the pad after washing with water and detergent and pull it to your face. You will see on the pad, some of the powder cream color you used. This means that when using heavy covering creams such as concentrated powder creams, it is not enough to wash your face with detergent and rinse.

The use of micellar water and its difference with toner

Micellar are used for cleansing the face. Micellar waters have a higher cleansing power than toners and can also clean face makeup. So, if you have makeup and apply covering creams, first wash your face with micellar to get the makeup off your face. Micellar does not need to be rinsed.
